Prior to this class, I had not heard of this term before. I am learning that Digital citizenship is fluency in utilizing a variety of forms of technology respectfully. I really took away that it is critical no matter what age our students are that different areas of digital citizenship need to be reviewed in order to keep our students safe online now and through out their lives. I really appreciated the experience of delving into the website Common Sense Education. It is such a wonderful tool for a starting point of having these discussions with students and their families. I plan on utilizing this resource in a practicum and future classes. Looking closer at the website I have found a one hour long Training course on how to teach digital citizenship that I would like to do in December when I have time during the school break.
