Before I began learning how to support english language learners, I first had to understand what this means. What I have learned is English Language Learners (ELL) can be defined in multiple ways, and it is critical for me as an educator to build relashionships with my students to know what form of ELL they are (Snyder & Fenner, 2021). From here I can learn the assets they bring to the classroom an build up them to support their learning in a holistic way.
